How to use

The routine is the product. Follow it exactly and let the ultrasounds tell the story.

Original Topical Poultice

  1. Clean and dry the leg. No other products, no DMSO, no iodine.
  2. Apply a generous, even layer over the area.
  3. Cover with a cotton quilt or paper towel, plastic wrap, then a standing or polo wrap. Tear the plastic a little at the top and bottom so it never tightens.
  4. Leave on 12 hours (up to 24 if the skin is not sensitive). Wash off and re-apply.
  5. Six days a week, one day off. Areas that cannot be wrapped: apply, leave up to 24 hours, wash, re-apply.

Topical Hoof & Leg Soak

  1. Mix the powder into a bucket or soaking boot of warm water, as hot as the horse comfortably accepts.
  2. Soak the leg to just above the area, higher if possible, for the time on the label. Keep the water warm.
  3. Dry and wrap with a standing wrap.
  4. Once a day (twice is better), six days a week, one day off.
  5. No special equipment needed: customers use a coffee maker for hot water and a tall bucket.

Protocols

What our customers typically report over 30 years. Every horse is different; your veterinarian's ultrasound is the judge.

The recovery routine

  1. Have your veterinarian ultrasound the leg to assess the injury. This is also the baseline for the guarantee.
  2. Ice and your vet's anti-inflammatory plan for the first 48 hours.
  3. Start Runner's Relief 48 hours after a new injury. For an old injury, start right away.
  4. Stall rest 2-3 weeks minimum. No hand-walking or turnout at first; ask your vet.
  5. Follow-up ultrasound at 30-60 days. Your vet decides when round-pen work can start while the routine continues.
  6. Final ultrasound at 90 days.

The money-back guarantee

We are the only company in this category that asks you to prove us wrong with an ultrasound. Take one before you start, one at 35 days and one at 90 days. If after a completed routine you are not satisfied, send us the three ultrasounds and we refund 100% of your purchase. No questions asked. Bought it through a dealer?
